CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) is a statutory organisation established under the National Heritage Resources Act, No 25 of 1999, as the national administrative body responsible for the protection of South Africa’s cultural heritage. SAHRA, as an Agency of the Department of Sports Arts and Culture (DSAC), has been tasked to manage and implement the National Heritage Resources Act (NHRA) of 1999 by coordinating the identification and management of the national estate. The aims are to introduce an integrated system for the identification, assessment and management of the heritage resources and to enable provincial and local authorities to adopt powers to protect and manage them. The agency seeks to successfuly achieve its vision of “A nation united through heritage”, This requires the right quality and competent leadership to be in place. As such, SAHRA is seeking a highly experienced, dynamic Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership in the achievement of its mission.
